Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Hamro Katha is a product built for families, and we treat children's privacy with the seriousness it deserves. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why. It is provided for general information and is not legal advice.

What we collect

  • Account details — the parent's email address, used to sign you in.
  • Child profile — a first name and age you choose to add, to personalise the experience. This is optional and can be deleted at any time.
  • Photos (premium, optional) — if you choose personalization, a photo you upload is used only to generate that story and is never sold or shared.
  • Waitlist — if you join our waitlist, your email address so we can tell you about launch.
  • Basic usage — anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand which stories are read, so we can make better ones.

What we don’t do

  • We don't sell your personal information.
  • We don't show third-party advertising to children.
  • We don't ask children for personal information.

Your choices

You can delete your child's profile, uploaded photos, or your entire account at any time. To make a privacy request or ask a question, email privacy@hamrokatha.com.

Data handling

Accounts and content are stored securely with our infrastructure providers. Access is protected by row-level security so that one family can never see another family's data.
